White is not white.

    Hello!
    We are having an issue with 2019.3.10, with the HDRP. It seems to be impossible to achieve pure white in the viewport. Even when increasing the exposure, playing with white balance or other settings. Here is a picture of a product where we wanted actual white.

    Below is the same image with every possible way applied to increase the brightness, and it still turns out gray.

    So, after struggling with this for weeks, I find the solution 30 minutes after I post the question. For reference for other people running into this:

    Unity usesa 'Neutral' Tonemap by default. This apparantly also makes it so you cant actually achieve pure white. If you want to get around it, add a tonemap and set it to custom. The image should immediately become much brighter and you can adjust from there with the sliders.
