    I laughed at it; I think it's funny. I just hope the creator agrees that it's funny...

    Very nice model, but I think the area where you hold the gun must be smaller.

    Thanks for kind comments im trying to make the size of the handle a bit smaller but the hands will be bulky aswell so i think a bit smaller would be ok but not so much that it would be comfy for a normal person otherwize it would look out of preportion.

    Im going to go for hand painted textures, similar in style to the game "torchlight", i'm proud of it for my first weapon it will be great fun unwraping it :D(i struggle with that)

    I just bought a new guitar and guitar synthesizer for creating sound tracks for my game and other things.
    Here's a page I just put together with some pictures and a link to my first composition (rough but fun to make).

    Don: Keep the guitar. It may be a tad bit rough, but it's good. There needs to be more artists working with sound on these forums.

    Don, I think it sounds GREAT, being that all of it was created by a guitar!! I'm a guitarist myself, so i'm impressed!!

    Looks go CK, I would do something with the textures though. Try UVing them so you don't have all that obvious tiling...

    Maybe a little sharp (could use a bit more resolution on the terrain?)
    and from out this far from the object the tiling is pretty obvious but the fire color looks good. :)

    Well that was a render in Lightwave, that's why it looks so good, but I'm using those objects in my tennis game, same textures.

    Ill try make it less sharp :). The tiling doesn't look anywhere near as obvious once in the player view. Looks really bad from that screen because I wanted to try show off the whole volcano. May try UVing the textures though. Never done that before though, tips ?

    yeah, that pic has dense ray tracing and radiosity on... lol nothing we'll see in a game for a quite some time

    tips, yes... you don't necessarily have to UV it, just try to find a texture of some rocks or something that doesn't have obvious tiling traits... in other words, high contrast inconsistency. An example of high contrast inconsistency is a black square with a white dot in the middle (this would be noticeable in tiling). Try to find a texture that has consistent contrast throughout.

    EDIT* actually, that may not be a good example because it wouldn't border right... but you get my drift...

    Yeah getting it. Basically have a texture that wont have noticeable edges or areas to avoid you seeing where one tile starts and ends. Thanks :)

    Quick update since ive been gone for a while. Shows off two little areas of the level. One of which I posted as a screen earlier. Gonna work on the textures alot more. Thanks to anyone who takes a look.

    Working on a Side Scroller Similar to Limbo although it has a lot of unique gameplay mechanics, we plan to release a demo around the new year, It's been in development for a while but recently we started putting more time into it, the menu is almost done, besides Continue. Coding done by me.
