Is it possible to use socket's/websocket's as an alternative to Unity Multiplayer with Unity Personal? I don't want to have to spend money for server's when I could use websocket's instead.

Are we talking about Unity 5?
If so, then yes it possible. There are no restrictions other than "dark" skin, revenue cap and some services I believe. You can find the comparison here ;).

Great! Thanks @gintautass ! Since you're from Unity, do you know when they'll be releasing the UNET Server Code? Is there an estimated time?
