Lightmaps and surfaces

    Hello, I would like to propose a feature that could improve the lightmaps.
    Whereas the lights and shadows static are processed on individual objects and can be applied to a very large object than others. It would not be appropriate to change the resolution of the lightmaps to a single surface rather than the entire object? ...Some will say that you can detach from the surface of a whole object and process it for lightmaps, but unfortunately this causes problems of global illumination... What do you think?
