Directional lights not working after reloading scene

Hello,

This was previously reported in https://forum.unity.com/threads/solved-scenemanager-loadscene-make-the-scene-darker-a-bug.542440/ but it seems the same problem has occurred in unity LTS 2020.3.16. I've checked the internet but the solutions in the link given doesn't solve the problem. Is this a bug? Any feedback is appreciated.

 

This problem is now nearly one decade old!

Editor has a bug with lighting if you auto-bake. Turn off auto-bake and bake your lights.

Thank you. It works. However, why didn't this problem occur in earlier versions? Why did it suddenly appear? That's the part that doesn't make sense.
