Any hope upcoming IAP solution will be decoupled from Analytics?

    (originally from the 3.0.0-coming-soon thread)

I can't say what the future plan is for the connection between IAP and Analytics.

Elsewhere on this forum there is discussion about, for an individual Project, how to decouple Analytics now: https://forum.unity.com/threads/uni...pps-on-ios-at-the-moment.923279/#post-6045224 ( by @JeffDUnity3D )

I would like, if you have information you are game to share, to hear if you have a need for analytics currently, especially around players' purchasing decisions?

We don't use Unity Analytics. It is still enabled in our game only because Unity IAP requires it.

We're in the same boat. Absolutely no need for Unity Analytics (we have our internal solution for that) but we keep it included only because Unity IAP requires it. It smells suspcious and fishy (why does Unity need to collect all the data about our app?). We've begrudgingly accepted this as a price of IAP features but never liked it, to be honest.
