Curious: If you is an Indie developer how do you finance your multiplayer game

    Have to admit that I have not really looked into this in detail and would be interested how you, if you released a multiplayer game, finance the multiplayer part.

    Given cost it is not possible to release a free multiplayer game I guess without financing it yourself?

    Do you solve it with charging for the game upfront? If so, what happen when cost is overcoming income?

    What solution gives the best buck for the money?

    Just curious!

    I finance with my day job mostly, and make a small amount of money to offset costs by selling a few assets in my game on the Asset Store.

    Something like Photon Bolt is a good contender for cheap networking since typically one of the clients is the host, and they have punch through as fallback.
