AnimationState.layer - Discontinued?

"Layer" is gone.

Although it could be a bug in my code, I also noticed that layers don't seem to be working as expected.

Just wondering if there may be a reason it was excluded in the documentation.

 

That's very odd. Layer is required in order to control animation mixing. Don't see any reason why they'd remove that.

 

Some time later, and the 2019.1 documentation is still missing the 'layer' property. The actual propery still works fine, though. Maybe nobody told Unity that the documentation is missing that property?

 

You can click the "report a problem" button on any page in the Documentation or Manual.

Which is what I did, but after looking at the reply from @Lurking-Ninja, I very much doubt that it was useful

 

that's bizarre, must be link to them stealth-changing the behavior of layer with clampforever...
