zooming the scene window - hand+alt not working

Hello, everyone, I am very new to Unity, so I have a lot of stupid questions.
How can I zoom in the Scene window? I looked up in the Help and it says that Hand tool with Alt held should work as a zoom - but it doesn't (when I hold Alt I still have the hand tool). First I had this view, when the objects are too far and small:

Then at this forum I found an advice to use F button, which centered the picture and the objects are closer now, but I still cannot zoom the scene.
What can be the solution?

You should also right-click with your mouse
Hold Alt (Windows) or Option (macOS), and right-click and drag to zoom the Scene view.

Another way to zoom in the Scene is with the mouse wheel (I use a touchpad and I zoom with the two-finger swipe method)
