Hey everyone, let's say i've made a plane with fibers in zbrush (that looks like grass), is it possible in ANY way to export that into maya / unity?

I tried with a obj to maya, but it only turned up as a normal, flat plane. It would be really nice to get it working, i know that maya effects such as fire don't work in Unity, so Im not supprised if it does not work.

    Best Regards

I am pretty sure that zbrush fibers are a special rendering trick that is done internal to zbrush. So they won't export. And even more so, why would you want to export actual fiber geometry? It'd be way too high poly to put in unity.

What you can do is put zbrush fibers on a plane, then turn that plane into a single texture, a single normal map, and a single depth map. Then use the paralax shader in unity to fake a 3D representation of zbrush fibers in unity.

But personally, I would make grass with paint effects in maya.
