Hello, it's a pleasure to talk to all of you.
Sorry for my english, i'll try my best to be understandable xD

I would need your advice and recommendations please, nothing much vital or urgent, but your insight will definitely help me save time in the long run by getting off to a good start. Besides, "start" is a big word :p I play on my iPad a little game called Wonderbox which has a creation section and I found myself creating small levels at night in my bed before falling asleep, I find it very relaxing, it brings back nice memories of Final Fantasy Tactics and makes me want to do lots of levels, to see where this simple creative curiosity routine can take me.

This is what I did on Wonderbox, I have no merit, it's their tool which is great :

I really enjoyed bringing what was on my mind to life but I would like to know where you would recommend me to start when creating similar environments on Unity? I'm not trying to get this rendering which is too detailed, I will rather try to approach a pixelated rendering like FFTactics or perhaps Octopath Traveler in a few years if I devote enough time to it ^ _ ^ ! At first, the idea is to make prototypes of little "rough" levels, which I could embellish little by little as I progress.

    - Do you recommend that I learn to model on Blender, then import the map into Unity? What would be the advantages and disadvantages?
    - Do you advise me instead to learn to model directly in Unity, maybe with ProBuilder ? It looks damn powerful and seems to be able to respond to this kind of level creations?
    - Do you have any other suggestions? ^ _ ^

Thank you very much for your suggestions !

Those environments appear to be made of basically cubes. And it's not a ridiculously large number of them, either. So the easiest approach to doing this in Unity would be:

    1. Get or make cube-shaped models for dirt, rock, dirt/rock with grass on top, water, bushes, trees, etc.
    2. Arrange those in Unity using the Snap to Grid function.

It's going to take a lot more experience to make this look as good as the screen shots above, but that's the basic idea.

As for where to get the models: I suspect if you search in the Asset Store, you may find some ready to use. Otherwise you'll need to learn some modeling app to make them yourself.
