I just made the switch from a MBP 13" early 2011 with 8 gb ram running Lion, to a MBP 15" 2015 with 16 gb ram running Yosemite. Unity 4.6 was running really smooth on my old computer, but now I'm having constant crashes, most of them because of "out of memory". I can't really fill out a bug report because it's always happening on random places. If anyone's got some kind of tip that would be great. I've already done a couple of clean installs. It seems the crashes are more frequent on bigger levels, as someone already noted, but I'm having crashes on levels that are almost empty too.

I have managed to reduce the number of crashes I'm having, if anyone's having the same problem. It seems Yosemite can't handle big mov-files or big wav-files. Also, if it crashes when creating a build, have the default quality setting set on fastest. (And then change the quality via script when launching the game).

Came here to add: after "up"grading to Yosemite, MonoDevelop hangs every time I type a letter.

I am now having to type my source blind, wait 10-15 seconds for MonoDevelop to unhang, see if it was correct, if not, select and delete, retype.

I detest MonoDevelop with a passion. But Unity's bundling of an increasingly old and crappy build of MD probably doesn't help :(

    ---
UPDATE: after another reboot, and opening MD, closing all files, closing it again, and opening it again a coupe of times ... MD started working normally, and hasn't broken since.

So ... possibly something odd that gets cached during the upgrade process / first-time run of MD.

Yosemite sucks, but now that MD is working again, Unity 4.6 and Unity 5 are both running fine for me, side by side.

    Hi

I'm on a mac book air (2013) running yosemite 10.10.3 and Unity 5.0.1 and I can't connect to the asset store (keep getting dark screen and you are not connected to the internet error, even though I am).

    Any ideas/fixes?
