'Year-Walk' parallax script tools

    Does anyone know any 'Year Walk' styled parallax solutions in Unity? Ta.

    Interesting game... I think you'd need basically two systems:

    1. a basic parallax setup for each "layer" into the forest, something like what DavidTeo posted above

    2. a way to "go forward" (and back) between layers, which also includes kind of that halfway "examining an object in this layer" state.

    Those two systems would obviously need to interoperate based on game state and user input.

    Thanks guys. I am really interested in the z plane parallax scroll. I can't find tutorial, script or tool to do this efficiently.

    You absolutely will not "find" it. It's EXTREMELY tightly coupled to that game.

    Some things to try:

    - set up your camera clipping so that it sees one Z point in the forest and all planes required for that Z depth

    - have all deeper and shallower planes exist outside of the camera's clipping rectangle (beyond and before)

    - when you zoom in / out, tween those other "layer sets" for a given Z depth in and out appropriately.
