I would have to agree with most of the sentiments exposed here. Unity has built a framework for building a consistent UI with several base examples of controls. IT is now very easy to build up your own controls how you want them to work for your project.

I started up the UI Extensions bitbucket repository to allow contributors to share their efforts, all nicely packages together and conforming to standards (including Editor menu's), you can check it out here:
    https://bitbucket.org/ddreaper/unity-ui-extensions

All controls are free to use / modify how you wish and if you have something new, then submit it and share!

I like demo projects. And I like object pooling. And, I hope Unity continues adding them.

Rofl, to be honest that does look very cluttered. Most devs only have a handful of projects to play with.

Not an easy answer to make a "New project" or "Open Project" window look pretty. Especially when you only ever look at it for a couple of seconds before it closes. Or even less if you always autostart into your main project :D

But look it links to a mysterious thing called a Roadmap!

Wow do you know what a roadmap is, it's where they let you know what they are working on and let the users vote on what they should do next! OMG! ;)

Hey UT have you considered using this Roadmap technology, it's like Google Maps but for projects.

In my day we just had stick-it notes, but they can fall off the board!

Except it has nothing to do with actual maps. You keep using buzz words, such as roadmap, in ways that do not mean what you think they mean.
