I'm not familiar with InDesign.
If you can transfer the InDesign data to Photoshop, then the PSD can be loaded in XD.
Maybe you can export from there.

So you want to automatically AddComponent when converting.
It's designed to be customizable.
It's designed to be customizable, but I've held off on opening up a way to do that.
- Currently, the way to write customization is complicated.
- Difficult to see where the problem lies (Component side, Converter side)
The inbuilt conversion rules are written in CSS.

Hi, can't get it to work on a mac:

XuidUnity -> I can install it on a windows10 system for unity 2019.4.17 standalone windows and ios, but can't install it on macos system (BigSur 11.2 beta) building for macos or ios, I get at import to unity "Failed to import package with error: Coudn't decompress package".

XuidUnityExporter -> Also, I can install XuidUnityExporter on a windows 10 system. But on macos system (BigSur 11.2 beta) when trying to install XuidUnityExporter, at double click I get Unable to Install plugin, Failed to install XuidUnityExporter: extraction failure , if the problem persists please refer to Adobe Help Center for solutions. No fall back to try anything else.

Can anyone run it on a mac, in which case can please share what mac system and unity version please.

Big Sur is causing issues with a lot of dev tools at the moment. My university sent out a mass email saying to delay the upgrade to the new OS. I would recommend if possible reverting back to the older OS.

Is it possible to import the sprites as SVG files?

 

Hi, first I want to thank you for making such an amazing tool. I'm having a problem where the imported sprites using XUID are of lower quality than importing the sprite myself (See images attached). XUID doesn't retain the quality, adds grey lines to corners and changes the shape and size of the original button. I really want to use this tool, but won't be able to unless this issues can be resolved. Thanks a ton in advance.

 

I tried to install the plugin but then it showed this error:

hi there very sorry as I am very new to Unity.

So I am using the plugin for the first time, and already facing two problems.
1). "waring: css parse error" during output from the XUID Unity Export plugin
and 2). None of the hover states seems to show under game mode.

Despite the css parse error, I can place the entire prefab into the canvas, yet none of the hover states get imported.

I am not using exotic / fancy effects within XD. What am I missing?

I am now seeing an import failed Version 0.9.8 is not supported.

It is perhaps safe to conclude that none of the XD's prototyping and/or animated features will carry over at this stage * for now *; considering the lapse of the communication / radio silence thus far for months, which is disappointing.

It appears that at least for now - the manual arduous route is still the way to go for those who are still having problems (like myself). To just simply accept the long grind :

1. Creating the UI as is in XD or Figma.
2. Manually exporting the assets from XD as PNG, WITHOUT ALL typography.
3. Manually import those PNGs into unity. Do not forget the fonts also.
4. Recreate the buttons and what not ~ into Unity.
   1. Create Canvas, buttons, panels, images, etc.
5. Re-enter manually ALL the typography within unity's button text tools.
   
6. Recreate the very laborious states system entirely from scratch in Unity and in its own timeline system.

I was so looking forward for custom plugin like to supposedly (and actually work).
Yet it doesn't and was anything but straightforward.

 

What type of elements the conversion can create? (Buttons, input..)
