    Hi,

I'm just trying to work on my AR app but the XR Plugin Management keeps disappearing for some reason...

It's installed but doesn't show up in the Package Manager and generates bunch of warnings:

Please ensure that a valid loader...

I do have two errors that also popped up at the same time that I have no clue where these errors come from:

A scripted class has a different serialization layout when loading...

Does anybody have any clue what this is all about? Prevents me from working in Unity...

    I'm using Unity 2020.2.3f1

Restarting the Editor, doesn't fix it by the way. It restarts without any error or warnings..

One thing I have found that fixes it is by uninstalling AR Kit package and then installing it again.

    Anybody?

I can also reinstall ARCore package and it fixes it too. Very annoying

This problem may be caused by XR loaders or XR settings. Have you tried to delete the XR folder entirely?

same problem here... you can fix it by reimporting all assets... pain though

I haven't had the time to delete the XR folder settings yet but deleting the Library folder apparently fixes it too I was told my collegue.

Fastest way to fix it for me was just uninstall ARCore and reinstall ARCore. This is happening after every single build for me though in 2020.2.6f1. Extremely annoying bug! Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I notice it happens if I accidentally hit the play from the editor. Pain: reinstalling AR Foundation fixes it but such a rigmarole

Interresting! I'll check if that's the same reason it happens on my end!

You don't have to reinstall anything, just go to your package global cache and delete the XR management package. Return to unity and wait for the package to be imported again and it should be fine.

If it doesn't re-import again you need to close Unity and reopen Unity and it should work

I had the same issue, the XR Plugin Management couldn't finish downloading (from Project Settings) and after closing the window (or Unity) the button disappeared. Deleting the package from the proper folder did not help, but reimporting the assets did.

Using Unity 2021.2.7f1 - URP - New Project - Universal Windows Platform and Android SDK modules installed

How long does the download take for the XR Plugin Management when done from the Project Settings > XR Plugin Management menu? There is no progress bar and the download is not completing.

I've seen some people do it in YouTube tutorials and it seems to only take a second for them, but maybe they edited their videos to cut out the download time?

    Currently, in User > UserName > AppData > Local > Unity > cache > packages > pages.unity.com I have ~17 files named some variation of com.unity.xr.[different_file_names]@[X.Y.Z]

Is that supposed to be all of them? If so then why don't I get the menu in XR Plugin Management?

Currently if I close the Project Settings panel and then reopen it, going back into XR Plugin Management presents the Install XR Plugin Management button again.

I have a gigabit fiber connection. I wouldn't think the download would take that long, but the process does not seem to be completing.

UPDATE: I think this got fixed adequately. I got tired of waiting, and went into the Package Manger where there was (in Unity Registry) an Open VR Plugin. I installed that, and noticed that the XR Plugin Management was also a package that could be added there. When I did that, the menus came open to me in XR Plugin Management in the Project Settings as well.
