XAML support for Unity UI?

    Greetings,
    I was messing around in WPF and found XAML a powerful tool for UI scripting.
    is XAML currently supported in Unity and if no, is it planned to be?

    XAML is used in Windows Store Apps, by the generated solution, but it's not supported in Unity editor or other platforms, and there's no plans to support it.

    why Unity didn't buy Noesis and Microsoft didn't buy Unity [and integrate it into the OS] is beyond me.
    Microsoft couldn't figure out how to turn WPF into NoesisGUI, and Unitys gui could really benefit from wpf/xaml ui semantics and code behind dynamics

    now both microsoft and unity are trying to patch their UIs for VR
