Xamarin is bringing back C# to unreal engine

    I guess that is nice but know how much of a benefit it is. It is not like C++ is hard or really that different from C# within the context of game scripting.

    Godot is adding C# too.

    I'm curious why out of all possible languages, C# has taken off so strongly in game development land (not that I'm complaining, I love C#).

    A lot of people love C#. That's probably sufficient reason to support it. C++ is nice, but it does bring with it the pitfalls of pointers to avoid, which some people will always have trouble with, and that tends to ding C++'s reputation from what I can see. In general, C++ has a reputation for being harder to use (not necessarily deserved, but it's there) and that is going to turn some people off of it when those same people may love C#.

    I heard that Unreal have their own forums you can talk on about their engine. ;)
