I need inspiration, I got no ideas in my head. Just can't create. I need a story for this game idea I have. The gameplay is dealing with moving things with the mind, sort of like telekinesis, so it's science fictional, but with a comedy touch to it as well.

A game where you use your telekinesis to make people slap themselves.

Honest response, focus on the elements you got so far. What is the colors you are using? What's the tone you want the art to convey? Do you want the pacing of the game to be slow and explorative, Or fast and hard hitting. Answer these questions and the mechanics will flow from there.

If you are better at programming focus on mechanics and let the art reflect it, or vice versa. The story must not be bigger than what you yourself or your studio can reasonably create. Focus on world building, and not too many characters. The characters you do have keep them grounded in that worlds reality, with a reason to be there.

Idk the colors, tone, pacing and all that other stuff, how will that all give me a story?
If you want here are some of the ideas, you mentioned.

The color, tone and art style: I had in mind the look of ratchet and clank, toy story, inside out.
The pacing: It might be both, fast and slow, fast for some gun action and slow for puzzle solving elements.

But how can this lead to a story?
