write defaults off and additive animations affect non animated transforms

    I have "write defaults off" and use additive animations to rotate a box with two animations
    each on a different layer.

    now it throws an error when using euler only interpolation.
    with euler and quaternation approx interpolation it works.

    but affects a completely different transform which has an animation but isn't active
    how is this possible?
    Non-animated transforms shouldn't be affected in any way right?
