Unity's version control component has been upgraded to Plastic SCM.

Would love to see a list of changes (like github for windows) + selective push

I'd love to see WHAT I changed before pushing :) Sometimes I just pulled but said I had changes .. what did I change? I'd like to physically SEE that ;D

Also selective push. Let's say I want to push "A" but not "B".

Actually there is a way to see differences for what you changed, when you are about to push, press on the eye icon

it will open up the diff tool and you will see what is different.

for the selective push though, there is no solution right now but it is a feature we are considering for upcoming releases.

    hope that helps!

Ah thanks for showing me that :) Few things I discovered though: it'll just open a diff software for all files. This includes images, which is a bit awkward (awkward for some other file types too, but forgot off the top of my head). Is it possible to detect images and then just let us know if it's a new file or an updated file (can just compare sizes to detect this)? For images and related assets, I mostly want to know if I am overwriting something or not.

Bonus points++ if you compare an image it would show the old image vs new image and the size of each. This would be incredibly useful.

Since I'm not too what I can tell yet about this... I would just say, we want to make the collaboration easier between users by adding new features and tools that will make the tedious road of merging, pushing etc.. much more simpler ;)

but in the meantime, maybe we could deactivate it on some objects

It already rocks -- there's no way I could keep up with this on github or something. Even svn would be a bit awkward.

This is still the best of the best ;) only uphill from here. Deactivating it on incomparable objects for the comparison tools would be a nice placeholder
