While obtaining assets from the Unity Asset Store and importing them in the editor is supported in Linux, opening the editor and importing said assets from the Unity Asset Store web page is currently not supported in Linux. the workaround is to use the Package Manager window to download your purchased assets. Here is a simple workflow:

    1) Purchase the asset

    2) Start Unity and Open the Package Manager window

    3) Select "My Assets" in the Package Manager window

    4) Select your new asset (you may need to refresh) and click "Download"
