    Hi,

Figured I put this here, my use case.
Windows 10, fresh install, 16MB machine, unity 2013.3b.
Crashed on importing various purchased large assets from the store.

Turns out a workaround is to fix the virtual memory in windows to use a fixed amount.
I put mine to min : 10GB-120GB seems to have stopped all the crashes on importing for me.

    Hope this helps someone... :)

    Kind regards,
    Sol.

    Hi Solphist,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you please submit a bug report for this issue via the bug reporter with a list of the assets whose import result in crashes?

I know of one asset that causes a crash but I've already submitted a bug report on it.
It was pbrmurphy : Flower pack
    Min repo I tried was.
    1) Fresh HDRP install
    2) Install Ontario pack from pbrmurphy
    3) Install flower pack (Crashes on this repeatedly until removed.)

The thing with the virtual memory was on big imports and it's at random so no real way to narrow it down, so a tester has no reliable way to actually recreate or verify that it's fixed or occurs, just depended on what windows was doing with the memory at the time.

Thanks for the report. If you write in the forum about issues that you've reported, it is always a good idea to reference the issue IDs of the reports, so we can easily follow up on them.
