I won't further discuss what happened and what might, could and should, because I believe that @Dabeh made a good productive proposal. In my opinion we should rather discuss whether that will solve the problem and will be acceptable for both customers and publishers.

Don't take this as an attack against what you wrote. I take that absolutely serious, and was able to see two reviews that should not have been removed in my opinion.

I'm not so sure that he's "one of their peeps" considering the subtext seems to have been that they parted ways not as best friends. It's on sale because it's popular. Only one of my assets has ever been on sale, but it was on sale three times, and not coincidentally it's the most popular. I understand why they do this, but the problem is that it just continuously reinforces what's already popular and doesn't give other assets much chance.

Obviously it was harming Unity. It wasn't their content, which is illegal, and along with the domain name it gave the mistaken impression that it's official.

By the way, I've only ever requested that one review be taken down, since it was blatantly a tech support question and not a review, but nothing happened.

Thing is that Unity does not appear to care or take the issue serious. I don't see that they have done anything to address the issue at hand.

As a community the only two options we have is not use the store or try and get them to act professional about it and resolve the issue. Instead sending a strong message that they don't care about feedback and the deletion of reviews is a non-issue for them.
