^Perhaps it, but if he can export the model from Sketchup and UVmap it, then he should use the program he is familiar with thatn learning the cumbersome UI of Blender.

Were I you, I would have made a terrain in the unity scene for the ground and used unity's water. You can still design your buildings in sketchup and convert them to file Unity can read, then add them in the scene.

I like the layout but I fear it makes no sense if you follow that up. As far as I recall, the license handling on Harry Potter related "fan stuff" is handled similar strict as with the Star Wars franchise as both are billion USD monsters. Chances that you get further than the first host of screenshots without a letter from lawyers is rather low.

I too like the layout and i agree he shouldn't switch to Blender if he is comfortable with what he is using although Sketchup isn't something i would use :S but then again nor is Blender i think the learning curve is real steep and i can't get along with the UI but thats just me i know alot of people that get on very well with it

As for Harry Potter i'm not a fan but i would like to see your models once you are done with them :) i'm sure they will look pretty good

I can't really talk about any of the legal issues as i don't know too much about that but could he not just change up the layout a little and the name? well then again he is wanting to include Quiditch too so..... :S

Well that like i said it just for a layout. Not for the real models just to show where stuff goes
