I started working on a platformer Friday night where I took some ideas from different games I've played over the years to see how quickly I could replicate them. I ended up with 19 levels and, what I feel are, pretty solid movement controls. Feedback is appreciated, trying to decide if I should continue working on this or not.

Avoid roaming enemies and red laser things. Pink bordered box is the level exit.

    Move Left - A/Left Arrow/Gamepad
    Move Right - D/Right Arrow/Gamepad
    Jump - Space/Up Arrow/Gamepad Button 0
    Restart Level - R/Gamepad Button 3

    fun and challenging platformer :)

I didn't like the default particle effect on the character, it looked a bit blurry when compared to the rest of the graphics.

Also the death sound was a bit loud

Thanks for the feedback! I have changed the particle trail to a sharper, square image which fits much better with the art. I agree with the death sound, I just snatched a free sound off a website to put in there for testing. I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! Can you tell me what you are doing to make the cube fall through the floor?

Fun and simple game, feels like other games I've played. After the first few levels, I lost interest in collecting all the dots, didn't seem to be worth all the multi deaths with no pay off other then satisfaction of collecting them. I'd suggest setting them has triggers, after collecting a certain amount like 60% then the exit portal will spawn allowing you to leave the level or GUI collection # over all levels to see the progression of collecting dots. I liked how touching the wall plane, it changes the color. At first I was under impression that I was attached/stuck to it, allowing me to slide across without falling. After dying multiple times, I realized it wasn't sticking it was just the physics from the jump and angle. haha. Would have allowed for timed movements to jump off top plane and collect dots (without dying a million times) I also tried multiple times to kill pink enemies from all angles, avoiding them was the new game plan. the R button with the explosion effect made me thing I was able to do damage as a human/dot grenade. I also fell through the floor several times, happened after dying multiple times falling/jumping from high distances mostly when hitting red death areas.
For a weekend game, it's an awesome game to have put together. I'd suggest spicing it up with a new game idea to the classic game feel, something to make the player motivated to finish the entire game as you intended. I got a little bored after 7 or so levels. Maybe some suggestions from the forum will help keep you motivated to finish up the game. Thanks for sharing what you have started! Good luck

Thank you for the awesome feedback! I was able to replicate the "falling through the world" issue but only in the 2 back to back larger levels, I'm assuming this is where you ran into this issue. Weird thing is it doesn't happen in the editor or a standalone Windows build, only in the webplayer. I use raycasting for the controller so it's not rigidbodies moving too fast, I'll need to do some more research.

    Thanks again all!
