    Devil_Inside: It's just a bunch of particle effects - honestly nothing too complex. I would post the source .unitypackage....but I don't think I can. :( would you like a screenshot of the prefab?

    Holly S*** this looks gorgeous. I like how colorfull and animated everything is. Is there a website or a youtube channel we can follow for updates? Would love to follow the development of this.

    Good to know that this kind of beauty is possible with the built in particle system. No need to share. Let that be your secret :) I'll try to figure it out myself. Thanks!

    New build of my Sara the Shieldmage prototype!

    You can play it here

    Controls: A/D - Move, Space - Jump, F - Cast spells while held down, LMB - Actually cast a spell, Z - Interact

    I finally implemented the mana expansion in the chest, but more importantly I redesigned the spell UI, and added some music using my new set of soundfonts. There's also an Item Get stinger, too! I also made the Hall of Spikes more challenging, but kept it beatable. Try getting across in one go, without taking any damage. It is possible.

    What can I improve with this?

    I'm still not happy with the icon; icons are hard. I want the icon to convey the basic idea that your current spell A) makes a box, B) this box can be moved on, and C) this box protects you from things.

    Also, how is the music? Did the new soundfonts help any?

    Been working an some cartoon assets for the asset store. never done a cartoon style before i generally do photostylization (similar to final fantasy, realistic methods for stylized ideas). Here are some screenshots.

    Can't in the free toon shaders pack. :( but thats why they are free.

    Toon shader mobile, a superset of toon shader free, supports vertex colors, transparency, etc at 15 $. It can emit shadows but cannot receive them, ie you have to collect them on a terrain or a diffuse floor mesh. It is good to know that there is a demand for shadows, it could work visually in some instances, I ll add it in the next update.

    Very nice are all those assets yours? Those little gnomes are also very cool, remind me on some album cover of similar demons.

    having some fun with HDR rendering in Unity... shaders are Alloy. I feel bad for this model, she has been the guinea pig of my rendering experiments.

    She looks like either a slutty player character, or a random NPC in SWTOR. (No offense to anyone - especially any Star Wars characters - intended, just saying it how I see it.)

    It's not a bad thing, and I could certainly see a place for the aesthetic. It's a thing.

    The neon bits are an interesting touch, I like that aspect of the characters. The character's dress is sort of a dark future gothique, which could be cool, it just feels heavy-handed. I think when you've changed the shading it will look less SWTOR-y and have a futurepunk look, which is cool. Looking forward to how it comes out.

    That is not neon. Those are metal studs and earrings. :) using natural bloom and alloy

    Those are A LOT of bugs... the Orkin man will have his hands full with this horde.

    In that case, I'd consider dropping the strength of the bloom. Also, it might help to darken the metal a little bit, so that it comes off as not being a miniature light source.

    In alloy, once you set the surface to metallic, the diffuse colour allows you to set the colour of the metal... that is how PBR works.

    Pretty happy its still running!

    Heres another one, we are still working on the swarm ai so they don't conga line around... but thats directly from the game, a screenshot

    the soldiers didn't last long....

    Didn't feel like coding this weekend so instead I made a little art mockup for my alien game.

    Finally, I have something show-worthy!

    I'm particularly proud of the crystals in the background. Only the dual-growth clusters cast any light.
