Simple, but well done - I like it. My only complaint would be the 'dark' half of the circle being above the icons. I think just leaving that as a background thing and leaving the icons with just their own shading would make them easier to look at.

    So pretty.

@deram_scholzara by the way, can subscription users gain access to Unity 5 beta? (Assuming that this is Unity 5 beta)

Not yet, but initial beta group members have been given permission to share (with discretion) things from the beta.

Mister D, maybe just one tip for metal texture making: include as much as possible details on texture of metal in specular map instead of diffuse, it will look more smooth and more natural metallic.

Here is quick comparision of first version with details stored in diffuse, and second version has only bland gray (with 3% of color details) color and all details in specular.Dont mind the model, its not metallic model, its just to make point on texture.

Why not give some credit to the artist? Seems like you're trying to pass it off as your own.

Neptune what is your solution for blend shapes in Unity? For example if you use different normal maps to create different expressions, how do you blend them nicely in engine from one expression to other? I have seen this approach in Call of duty it works quite well.

To create the blend shapes in Unity, I start off in ZBrush and sculpt the shapes that I want with maximum detail to be baked into a texture (normal map and AO maps), and the low poly of those blend shapes is applied as a shape in Modo. I plan on using substance designer to blend the textures together and link the corresponding blendshape to the parameter in substance. Not going to lie, this is arduous, but for pure emotion, this is what I want.

In the image below, all of the wrinkles will blend very nicely in the normal and AO maps. To pull off the effect, the maps MUST BLEND on top of the original. I don't like the mouth shape. Grimacelo.png

Collaboration with Davib Debnar(code) and Tweedie(art). I did art along with Tweedie. Project is a Noir inspired project. It is being released in a day or two.

Great topology, although it looks like the ears could use some work still. Great work!

Clusterfuck of colours, I think you'd be better off with just the title as an image. This doesn't look that good as it is now.

Hey all! I haven't posted in ages so I hope I'm doing it right. Anyway, I have been working on this little scene for about two weeks now I think, every texture you see is hand painted by me in Photoshop or Blender Texture paint. And all models are modeled by me (Except for the unity Terrain of course)
Here is a simple walk around web player

I would love to hear your opinion on what to add, remove, improve, what looks weird and so on. And if you like how it's looking you can mention that too :p

Reworked the planet selection screen a bit. Still not sure if the generated terrain looks good that way.

The stuff on here looks really good! so wanted to show some work on the game. Starting to get a much better visual look for the game, including lighting and palettes.

I like it and I think it fits with the menu style well. It's tricky when you want to visually represent a generated thing in the menu. :)

The only real alternative I can think of would be to show off the generation as it is in game, as either a 'window' with a slice of generated terrain (doesn't have to be a slice of the actual level, just the same parameters) or as a small planetoid with oversized features (This sort of scale).

Thanks for the feedback! The idea with the small planet may be worth a try.
Here's another test I did with a different layout:

Of the 2, I think the first one is better - the 2nd just feels a bit 'messy.

I felt inspired (forgive the crude photoshopping ;) )
    Nimbatus_Mockup.png

This was sort of what I was thinking, although you could try something where the planet feels less 'boxed in'. Just my 2 cents!

PS: Perhaps 'Terraform Planet' instead of discover planet - another good Sci-fi word!

Nice mockup, thanks alot for your help :) I'll try to implement it next week and see how it feels.
Terraform Planet does not quite reflect what I thought about it. The player is searching for a planet where he wants to deploy his drone.

Ok had to try it, could not wait ;) Here a first version:
The transparent atmosphere of the planet has the same color the sky would have ingame. I did this to avoid the boxed in look but still have some variety.

Looks great - definitely better without the box too! So much better than my hacked photoshop job :p

Also, spot on about the Terraform thing, Discover fits better with the idea behind the game.
