In general, I find attachements flakey on this forum.

You may want to try loading images from the web:

Note this is "From Web" and "Retrieve remote file... " is DE-selected.

A workaround is refreshing the page a few times until the image shows up.

Oh yeah.. Marines vs Aliens .. i wanted to create a game like that some time ago! :D

Your character models are good but you should work on the textures.
The corridor is very nice btw.!

    Hey!
I don't have one just yet, but I'm due to update my portfolio soon, so I'll likely do it when I get around to that! :)

    Hi Guys,

Here a preview for our upcoming debut game called "lockdown". The game is still under development and set for release in late August. What you think?

Some shader development I've been working on. This is just a test scene I call "graphics sandbox" where I test out different looks and effects.

    [video=youtube_share;XbhfYfxz-GE]http://youtu.be/XbhfYfxz-GE

there is more info and the sse graph for this shader over at my site

@Lachadonan this is looking really good. Your making great progress on your game.

I just finished a new model for my upcoming horror game project. Since I just put it on my deviantart page I guess ill just quote myself

Did I mention you will be able to drive cars in my next horror game?

This is the very first vehicle. Your character can earn money in game doing different things. You will be able to buy different cars in game.

I put in a lot work into this car and I like the results. I know the normals are little messy on it, but overall not bad I think. Its not a super detailed high res realistic car, but it has my style to it. I added in extra details to really make this a unique car such as an Almond antenna, the words "Almond Motors" on the side. In the game, there will be a car dealer store called "Almond Motors", that is why I wrote Almond motors on the side of it.

Also, every vehicle has its own license plate.

Normal maps look odd. And the tires look odd too. Other than that, nice work.

Yeah I wasn't too happy with the normal maps either. they where very messy.

I decided to ditch normal maps and try going for my own unique style with vehicles. Here is the second car that will be available in my next game.
Its low poly. I like how it turned out. It definitely is not realistic or high quality at all but it has that look to it that I like.

Decided to go back and create normals. These came out much cleaner especially after I cleaned them up a bit. The normals are much softer this time to.

I will have the car look like that in game with the soft normals.

Which way do you like it more?

Ok another day, another model. I think a good one today to.

    Almond Taxi

This is first vehicle you see in game. Its at the beginning of the game. This taxi was sent by someone to take you to a haunted town.

I have been modeling vehicles this whole week. I created at least 7 and scrapped 4 of them in the process. I posted two different vehicles on here recently, (the green one and the blue one) and I really did not like how they turned out after looking at them again. I mean they are not bad, but could be better. So today, for this taxi cab model, I decided to stick with my true style and process of modeling. I think this is better because it fits more with my characters design so I will make the rest of the vehicles like this one.

My horror game will be stylized.

HI, I'm new to unity. But what I've seen people do with the engine is amazing and makes me excited. My goal here however is to help people make games and learn a few new things in the process. Maybe one day I can make my own games :) !

I have the most experience on the art side of things and have been taking game art classes at the college for creatives studies in Detroit for a few years. But, I am a beginner when it comes to scripting and code.

Anyways, I'm posting here because I have made a little mini scene with some meshes I have leftover from a school project from last semester. I guess you can call this my first baby steps into learning unity.

I hope you guys have an wonderful day ^_^ !!

I like it Asvarduil, but I feel like it needs more legs.

Finished my latest vehicle that you will be able to drive in my upcoming horror game.
The brand new heavy duty Almond Truck!
This will most likely be the main vehicle in game.

Its getting close. Soon I will start my own wip thread here, but first I want to at least get enough done and make a preview and an early gameplay prototype.

I don't usually post works in progress but why not? Here is a mockup of a new HUD for a prototype game. White treatment, Black treatment and one with placeholder background for contrast tests. Everything is done in vector and built with NGUI in mind.

    2. $HUDBlack.png
    3. $HUDWhite.png

Thoughts? Oh and this is confidential, don't tell anyone or I'll start breaking out the NDA's!! :p

I know this is a stretch for art, but this is a website I developed for my company that I would like feedback for, reddit was no help.

    http://www.geekygents.com/

Another site that will be live within 12 hours from now:

    http://www.divinitygame.com/

On a side note, snowcone if you'd be willing to fork 10$ for a domain I'd be glad to host for you for free. Pm me if you're interested.

I'm not too surprised your website hasn't had much feedback/attention.. it's quite limited. It doesn't look polished and looks like you made it in 1 day. There is almost no content, the home page seems like it has filler content and nothing real, your about page is a 404 fail, your product page goes to a completely different site etc - there isn't much to be said for it here... I'm not sure why this website even exists. Sorry to sound harsh but I think you need to rethink why this website exists at all and what genuinely useful content you're going to put on it that people will want to engage with.

On35 I have to kind of agree with imaginaryhuman, your site needs a lot of work. But I am sure you are still in early stages and over time it will greatly improve. But other than that I think your layout is off to a good start on your geekygents site.

And I appreciate the offer but no thanks. Blogger already provides everything I need and I spent a lot of time on my blog and working on getting it how I want to be. I am pretty satisfied with it. And its something that I keep working on/building up over time. I have had my blog for 2 years and I don't see any point in starting a fresh site.

But I might one day create a separate blog for something like a separate game project if its really big and needs its own. But I dont think Ill do anything like that anytime soon.

Looking for feedback on design, not content. I have it functional to where it shows what it can do. I know from your position it looks like a one day website, but it's customly coded as a blog site. Note it's not "/post3.html". None the less if you feel like the design is bad explain why, that's what I'm looking for, sorry that I didn't clarify.

I have the following criticism on the design:
The banner helps convey the "gents" part of your name but there is no other use of the that blue on the website which makes it look out of place. It also doesn't match with the main background. I would probably ditch the scratched background and replace it with a pale blue solid colour.

The logo is too close to the Geeky Gents text in the header and the detail of the blue background make the details of the face a little hard to see. Maybe add another subtle larger drop shadow behind the title.

The social media buttons would be better placed in the header where they are more easily seen.

Maybe add a little colour to the white background.

Ok, finished a new character for my upcoming horror game project.

This is Grams Coffeebean. Grandmother of Leon Coffeebean.
Grams lives in the small haunted town and asks Leon to come over to help her with a special search.
