Also note that the Mayans did NOT prophesize about the end of the world. There are no prophecies, rather the Mayan calender just happens to run out. Which is to be expected, I mean it's impossible to create an infinite calendar right?

Sorry for posting this here, but I think it's actually more of an art-like-thing than programming.

I've been working on a special camera for rendering a "true" 2.5d isometric view - as in "oldschool": think SimCity, Double Dragon, and other flat topdown or flat sideview games or technical illustrations. You can't achieve this effect with an orthographic camera.

I'd love to get in contact via PM, if this is something you also need :)

The monster is great, but he looks kind of frightened. If you're going for a more "evil" look, you should adjust his eyes and eyebrows.

Just watched Hobbit, some quick dwarf sculpt+polypaint, basically more or less concept. Zbrush render.

This shader is my from of an Uber shader, it takes Diffuse, Normal, two specular maps (one that supports fresnel and falloff, and another for additive), and a gloss map that supports reflective masking in alpha...

@Somedays amazing pixel work!! the only crit i have is that his wings are "in the back", but he hasnt has arms, looks a bit weird, if the wings are actually like his "arms" i think you should shade darker the part where are attached to the body, i hope you can understand me, my english isnt very good ; )

The base UV is stretched(damn uvs!!!) so the grass texture is a bit blurry

    some Dwarf action ^^

My coOwkrer convinced me to try MudBox,...once you get going it's kinda fun.

I do not plan my game to be no where near this hi rez,..but it's a start...and then I'll need to re Topo it later I guess,..

they will be small on the screen so I am thinking more of a Warcraft RTS level of model.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present you.......my first character!

I followed some tutorials, some image references and I got this, part of my Organic Modelling learning project.I would gladly appreciate some tutorials on modelling organic shapes, edge flow(not just characters),maybe cars, anything that's round/organic looking, because I realized I am just terrible at modelling anything that's round :D

Feedback appreciated(I won't be working on this model anymore, movin' on...)

P.S: I know the legs are looking weird,I just couldn't get the right.

We need wireframe and don't use gradients on images as it hides the details.

    Wireframe it is....

The legs seemed to be the most tricky part for me,I just couldn't get them right...

EDIT: New models. This time modelling an airplane(placeholders textures,as I'm currently focusing on improving my modelling skills).

I modeled a Lego Minifigure, I'm going to turn it into a Lego Link (from Legend of Zelda)The legs are missing a slight inset that is present on the figures, but this one will hopefully be animated like the Lego games, and would make this will not be noticeable... the arms are a bit off but they are the same as the legs this won't be obvious when animated.
