    Hi there,

Two months ago started new UI project "Ancients Call". It is going to be basic and advanced (contains decors & ornaments) version.

For now, I would like to show you some basic style and elements and go back to continue work on this.

    The final package will contain:

    - Controls - buttons, labels, check boxes, radio buttons, tabs, lists and much more.
    - UI Components - Windows, bars etc.
    - Complete Game UI - Skills System, Inventory System, Community Management, Crafting, Account Management and more...

I'll try to keep you guys updated & waiting for your feedback.

Made a stationary steam engine. Gotta add some nuts and bolts and rig it.

Cool alien! Though at current stage it would help if you posed the wireframe, so we can be picky about the polygon flow and whatnot.

Maybe butt cheecks could be a tad bit rounder, not too much, just slightly wider and slightly shorter, millimetric adjustments. Then it's perfect.

    Nice!
You should consider allowing yourself having a few triangles in your mesh, if it helps with geometry distribution. Unity imports mesh purely as triangles anyway.

Yeah I know, It's been hardwired into my brain that you should avoid triangels at all cost but I'll think about that :) Thank you for your feedback!

These are some sets for an upcoming pack. Some of them look very "brownish" and similar, I'm going to change the color palette of a couple sets. Each set has around 6000 to 11000 tris, the render is not unity though, I'm using marmoset for testing purposes right now.

The animation looks cool. You should consider texturing it though. Adding some variation to the color would make it look so much more realistic. I also think that it's a bit to vibrant in the colour, but it's still a nice model.

Oh yes, some nice metal texture would be good. It does look very unused.

I've spent some time changing things over to a PBR workflow. No textures on the engine quite yet but happy with where it's heading.

It definitely looks better now, maybe a tiny bit too shiny but that's easy to fix. You should try substance painter, it can produce very cool results and exports pbr textures that you can use in blender or whatever software you're using. That would make it look more used and more realistic.

Slowly making improvements I hope thanks to feedback. Still got a couple of textures to do. Don't know whether to go with tiled textures for everything or Unwrap it and do it 'properly'. I also want to add some large text painted on the wall at the back, and maybe change the floor, because I'm not a fan of the raw exposed concrete. Might go for a stone floor instead because it seems a little more authentic.

    st3smal.png

EDIT: brightened things up a bit because the levels were way too low.

Having more health problems again so I'm cut down to half the man I should be but I got to finish the pack (did my part) yet I'm just waiting for my 2D artist to finish the last tile. I'm almost done with the classic columns pack to. There aren't supposed to be any models in this textures pack but I decided to add something extra.

    going crazy a bit...

Looking good, however I would add "pillars" in each intersection corner, it gives visual fidelity

Working on the tower house on top of a mountain and working on the background scenery too. This is a scene in one of the levels of my game. It was a mobile game for Android to be played in VR with a controller. The textures I have yet to optimize to look closer to FarCry graphics.

Been a busy week working on my games, but managed to put a few hours into my asylum today - windows (heavily weathered) (early stage) (Edited, updated image, now only missing some latches). I will also be making a half circle window and some indoor corridor windows in the same style, along with some simpler doors in the same style.
    20170725.jpg
    And also a basic "pillar":

Been working on this one for a little while. It's an old, run down RAF Vickers VC-10. These lovely machines used to fly over my head on a daily basis until they were retired from the RAF in 2011. Still learning this PBR stuff, I painted the textures on the plane by hand using a large collection of reference photos. I'm really happy with how the plane itself has turned out. I've learned plenty by making it too.

    VC10-36-1080-compress.png

I've set up the texture layers so that replacing the grey scheme they ended up with in their last 15 years of life is easy, with old white, grey and blue schemes, sand, and camo options available if I choose. Ultimately I went with the one I could remember most.

It's very simple! I'm using an HDR image for the background which is contributing light to the scene, and a single low intensity hemi lamp pointing nearly straight down, coloured a very slight blue (colour temp of overcast sky). Everything else is just bounce, trying to keep it nice and natural.

I've been working on a pixel art top-down real-time roguelike inspired by NetHack. This is the first "enemy" you encounter when you enter the crypt. These actually try to get away from you and can fly over walls and obstacles. If you kill it, you get some gross bug meat!

Finished up work on the circular window variation. Only thing that remains is adapting the texture to the curved part. Aside from that, the windows need some glass and a texture variation, after that I can move on to modelling some doors. :)
Also started working on the wall modules that will hold the different window variations:

Are you using Blender for these? Also, I really like the hand painted style of your models. They remain stylized but aren't overly cartoonish and it looks really great!

Dude, I'm very flattered! Thanks a lot!!

Not Blender, ZBrush. But really I imagine it's exactly the same than Blender, or 3D Coat or any other paint software. I haven't used Blender in some time, but last time I checked it was a pretty advanced tool, I'm beginning to think Blender is surpassing other tools in many ways.

Blender has more features than any other software: modeling, painting & texturing, Python scripting, excellent auto UV unwrap, sculpting with dynamic topology (similar to zbrush), procedural modeling, compositing, and even video editing. It has a game engine built in so you can test your models interactively if necessary without having to export to Unity first. Also there are tons of add-ons and even custom packages like BForArtists So yeah it's my favorite.

(Edit) Geez I didn't mean to sound like an advertisement (sorry) I guess I'm a rabid fan
