    Hey nipoco- yes, I did.

Ben4Views- it's looking awesome. Love the HUD. Is it modular, or all one texture?

Been working on a 3D tileset:

Around 400 polys, the bit of the left is the source geometry, which I can now cut and paste.

Here's a more detailed version I'm working on, now that I've got the process straightened out

It's actually for my own game :)

But I'm thinking about doing a tutorial for it (once I'm finished actually working on it, and have the process down)

Thanks! That makes me want to check out Fable 3. :)

Worth noting that's a slightly old image at this point; here's an update with some fixes around the eyes, which I decided were too small and far apart in that image.

That's a really lovely image with an impressive sense of atmosphere. Can you talk more about what you're doing there? And in this image from your site:

Which the notation says is a real-time shot from within Unity. Wow. The car appear so solidly a part of the environment, like it's being illuminated by the environment, which I suspect it is. Is that image-based lighting? Or a light probe? (I want to play more with that stuff but haven't had a chance.) And the image has an interesting look, like the shadows are extra black. Is that some kind of full-screen filter effect, or just careful choice of shadow color?

Also noticed the paint job on one of your other cars has a really nice sheen:

I'd love to hear more about how you're achieving these effects!

    Thank you!

No, I'm not using light-probe or ibl. Only directional lights: Sun and do not remember exactly...Not important direct lights to fake sky and indirect lighting. But on screens with Corvette on the pier used 1 direct light for sun.
Additionally I'm using my custom post-processing with gamma, exposure and etc controls. It should be simple to tweak =)

I wish it wasn't so expensive for individuals... your generator would be awesome for making NPCs... how is the topology on this models?

    Hi there =)

Are you getting bad performance? I´ve managed to get more than 100 unique chars running at stable 60 fps
The base mesh has ~2500 vertices
I´ll still spend a lot of time optimizing this, based on LOD and more efficient shaders.

    Edit: 60fps with vertical sync

Here is the low poly character I made for my very small game project. He is named Felix (I randomly chose to name him that)

Started off trying to make a serious character but ended up looking very toony (once I got to the face) :)

anyway the screenshots I was posting earlier in this thread about the small lowpoly town are part of the same gameproject.
I named it Almond Hill. It should be finished real soon.

Okay, so my graphics tablet arrived about a week ago and i've always wanted to do hand painted textures so here's my first try. I know there's a lot of things to add like more detail, shadows, blending, lighting but i've only started today with those type of textures so i'm not too good at the moment but any crit is welcome. also jake morris is my name and i'm trying to get into college so i'm developing a portfolio to help my chances.

Very cool, how did you get such a clean initial capture from your Kinect (obviously you've had to clean it up to get to this stage, but the initial capture wasn't bad)? Do you have to stand on a turntable or something or did you dress up a mannequin?

Fernando does this means that when you scan object with kinect you get it updated in software as 3d mesh and with textures applied?

See if there's a way to sharpen up that text. If you're using a texture atlas for that (NGUI for example) you could write an editor utility to set the mipMapBias property of the texture to -0.5, which does wonders for text sharpness.
