    Paxitium

    Paxitium is a work-in-progress survival game set in the early 1900s. Facing obstacles ranging from natural needs such as hunger and thirst to dangerous wildlife and unfriendly human NPCs, the player must choose a role and survive in the wilderness. Eventually through venturing multiple neighboring islands, the player is able to discover numerous clues related to the background of the world they are in.

    Basic gameplay will include construction of structures for protection from enemies, looting items from abandoned towns, and more. Cooperation between players is highly encouraged, and the servers will offer extensive customization to settings such as PvP/PvE, day cycle length, difficulty of AI, and much more, to create a fresh experience for players. Several unique features planned for the game not commonly present in other titles of this genre are:​
    • A beautiful, explorable world with several islands. Each island has its unique characteristics and purpose, giving a benefit to each survivor who plans to settle upon it. The items which the player can attain can be valuable, especially when trading with other players.
    • A discoverable, non-linear backstory which can be completed while the player is surviving either alone or together.
    • A dynamic event system which rewards the player with unique items unattainable from other methods.
    • Various types of enemies and behavior designed to introduce a new threat as the player ventures from the starting island.

    Sorry for the long silence, but we have uploaded the third update! You can check it out below.

    Key major features showcased in the video:
    - Changed time setting from modern to the WWI era.
    - Better lighting and image effects
    - Revamped inventory
    - Better melee system (still WIP)
    - New map
    - New test animations
    - New character being worked on
    - 3D voice chat
    - Many optimizations, security improvements, and other internal changes
    - Basic neutral AI
    - Many other changes and bug fixes.

    Update #4 is released!

    Key features showcased in the video:
    - Basic character customization system.
    - New character with clothing and animations
    - Many FPS animations
    - Wider array of items. New melee weapons, paddles, guns, lanterns, and compass.
    - Reworked construction workflow and UI.
    - First person death animation.
    - Dedicated server test with security improvements.
    - Bug fixes and improvements.

    If this is not being worked on anymore, can you release some of the project on the asset store? It looks very valuable and I for one would love to learn how you set up a lot of this :)
