Hello! I am going to post my progress in this thread so far and upcoming about my game I am working on, working title NeonCity.

Here is the game so far:

Here is a video of a recently added day night cycle sped up:

Next I am going to add different enemy types and level bosses.

If you have music, want to create music or know someone whose music would fit I would be very thankful. Comments and suggestions welcome!

Looks cool, one thing I would change is the camera rotating with the character when his motorcycle tilts.

Very Cool. Gives me a Race the sun vibe. For some reason, I really like the white highway lines racing past.

I also agree with @Whiteleaf that the camera should not rotate with the player. Camera work is hard.

Is that music in the game or just in the vid?

Also, how did you do the fuzzy black and white screen effect? Just curious.

Yes, Race the sun is definitely an inspiration. Thank you.

The music in the "gameplay" video is edited in afterwards. The music in the day and night cycle video is actually recorded in the game. At the start of the level it randomly selects a track and displays its name and artist in the bottom. I would like to get permission from different artists to use a track in my game in return they get a fairly big display at every level start when their track plays to promote their work.. Atleasts thats what I was thinking about. One of my thoughts was you collect tapes in the game in order to to unlock music tracks and levels.

The fuzzy film effect is the Retro TV Screen ver. 2.1 as I am not very knowledgeable about shaderlab scripting and screen effects.

Thank you, as for the camera not rotating with the tilt of the player it does kind of give better controllability and you can better estimate distances between the player and upcoming colliding objects to avoid when the camera tilts with the player. I have tried detaching the camera from the tilting of the bike but it didnt feel right for me. Maybe I'll give the camera a bit of smoothing/delay and try to make it rotate not as much.

I have also tried first person view which does work suprisingly well while playing even though the level of detail of the models is not designed to be looked at up close like this as for now.

I havent planed to sell the assets in the asset store, atleast not most of the ones seen in the videos so far in the opening post. I did however think about making an asset pack with old technology like the compact cassette on top and the floppy disk bellow and other old tech.
