    Battle Orbit (WIP)
    (It was Nameless Fleet Shooter.)

    Hello, everybody.
I'm working on a game: Battle Orbit, a TPS fleet shooter. Let me introduce about it.
(It's on a really early stage of the development. Maybe beta test will be available in 2013.)

    Concepts:
    • Massive battles of fleets vs fleets
    • Infinite customization (Ultimate goal)
    • Play for free, Online, Facebook app

    Features:
    • Each turret has angle limitations, ammo etc.
    • Turrets can be changed at Armory. Limited by hardpoints, spaces, weights and CPU power.
    • Each side of battleship has independent armor. It will be destroyed and flys off when damaged.

    Works done (almost):
    • Matchmaking
    • Life-cycles (Spawn, fight, win/lose and earn Gold)
    • Armory - Change turrets (weapons)
    • Facebook authentication
    • Server side backbones

    Works in progress/queue:
    • Shop - Unlock new turrets
    • More battleships, maps and environments
    • Big boss
    • Level design
    • Improving artworks (Models and UI. Maybe urgently needed...)
    • Internationalization

    About me:
Michitaro Naito, a Japanese programmer, 26 years old. (Sounds NATO, but not...)

The thread will be updated when the game gets something new.
Please comment, poll, subscribe. Thank you.

    Wow, that looks intense!

Even with all the cubes and white textures, you've really captured the feel of a epic space skirmish.

Michitaro... the game looks awesome. Can't wait for a web player version to test out.

My 2 cents : focus on the quick and fun dog fighting, meaningful customization > infinite customization (ship/weapon attribute wise). If you are aiming for Facebook, I recommend infinite customization regarding the looks of the ships (like Pimp my Ship or something :) and player avatar. (maybe something like Eve Online has).

    Congratulations on the project.

    Hi. Thank you for comments.
I will concentrate on orbits and stratospheres because it seems nobody wants surface stuffs.
Homeworld is really cool and inspiring. Maybe, I'm going to mimic some manners of it.:)

    Thank you!
I agree with you about dog fighting, meaningful customization and the looks of the ships.
I hope meaningful customization can be true because I pick parameters for weapons carefully to let every weapon have it's role.
Dog fighting is also very important and maybe I'm going to add something like Air Combat Manoeuvring.:D

Thanks for the great asset: "SPACE for Unity", now the game has a better looking.
And I have improved my flight systems and it comes more acrobatic.
And I have exterminated garbage collections (frame rate killers) with the profiler.
I'm making "Battle Satellites" for Non-player-characters. I will introduce it later.

The development is going to be pending for several weeks. (I'm going to release another mini game for some reasons.)
    See you later guys. ;)
