    Hey everyone,

I have been working on a 2D action arcade game that blends Breakout with RPG mechanics in a satirical and whimsical fantasy setting. I have started documenting my journey through releasing a game from start to finish as my course's capstone project (Coursera's Game Development course).

I post every week and try to give an account of what happened in it, problems faced how I might have resolved it and so on. As I near a demo release I thought I would post here.

Demo can be found in the second post

You can find the 7th update on my blog below:

I haven't updated this thread for sometime as it slipped my mind posting here. We had quite the updates ever since last time. You can find the 8th, 9th, and the 10th updates with the 10th being the one I posted today.

As you might have guessed we have a page on IndieDB you can follow us on it if you wish.

This is the 12th week in Indie Quest and we are still hard at work developing Castle Mashers. However, we've come to a point where we need all the help we can get. We have implemented to types of gameplay (one based on feedback we received) and the other is the original gameplay mechanics we started with.

We'd like to know your opinion, which is the most fun? Which you like best and why?

To find out more and play both prototypes you can check out the new devlog (with the download links) here.

Thank you very much in advance for your help and time!

The 13th week is upon us and we are on track with development; full throttle ahead (pun not intended). We talk about the design decisions we have taken recently based on the feedback we have received so far from the tests conducted.

You can read the blog post here.

Seems I have been neglecting to write a blog post for a long while now. We have deadline to meet which has been pushed forward a bit. I took the chance and wrote a quick blog post with the updates we currently have and worked on for Castle Mashers. You can read it here.
