    I love the dragon fight!!! The possibility to follow it flying up with the camera make it look really majestetic. Its so cool that when he spits fire the ground burns and rocks are flying like off from the walls. You put effort and details in this mechanics and it pays off - looks and feels so cool!

    I also find it very good that the game feels like Dark Souls and i think clearly this was your biggest inspiration. But at the end stage developing the game i would change some graphics/UI to distinct it a bit more from DarkSouls.
    Similarities are good and attracts other players liking this genre but i think it is really, really too similar in the graphics style and feel.

    Thanks a lot, dragon fight was early wip, its in a bit better state atm.
    In terms of graphics, im not 3d modeller so cant make models myself, im using best options available from unity-asset-store. I could use worse models, but i dont really want to intentionally drop quality and to be honest, no matter if I would use different models, people would still compare it to DS. Because current formula is: dungeon + knight + sword = its like DS
    At this point its impossible to avoid that, even i would do low poly. Issue is that DS became not a game but a genre...

    I'm really impressed with the work you've accomplished so far, the likeness to Dark Souls 1 specifically is uncanny.

    Do you plan to replace the enemy/character models at some point in the future and make it your own story? What new mechanics/interactions do you intend to add to differentiate it from dark souls? My one concern with what I've seen so far is that it feels and looks way too much like dark souls, and if you ever wanted to bring this to market, I don't see anything yet that would cause someone to buy this over dark souls, no offense. I would greatly encourage you to add some environment/character changes that dramatically shake up the lore/theme (like maybe a Norse mythology in a frozen wasteland, or an underwater city), and possible one or two interesting gameplay mechanics, assuming of course you haven't already started planning to do that in the future. Either way, best of luck, I like what I see so far, I just hope that you start with your obvious inspiration for dark souls and carry that forward into something new and cool.

    I have some unique elements like Relicts system allowing us to discover history of the world (if we want to) or adrenaline/charge based skills system. Biggest thing making it similar to DS is general dark mood, as there are hundreds of games having similar mechanics, but the dark mood is something i enjoy playing with the most, i dont wanna give up on it.

    Also Im not close to even think about competing with productions like dark souls.
    Dark souls 1 had budget about 20 milions, while i dont have even 0,001% of that sum to pay for models, animations ect.
    At the moment im closer towards - "I enjoyed ds/nioh/bloodborne/lords of the fallen, is there something similar for pc?" :)

    Cool project.

    Since DKS is obviously the big inspiration here, I think it's important to include some DKS type trolls. Like, maybe some of those breakable urns are actually a mimic.... you know, you've got to get at least half the players to throw the controller and break a tv or two.

    A couple new things:
    - New hero which will allow me to build equipable armour parts (WIP)
    - Added 2 switchable weapon sets (aka diablo2)
    - Started working on new weapons - here we can see daggers/short swords.
    - Added dissolve effects for dead enemies
    - Added raycasted weapon collisions with environment

    Man this is just freaking awesome, the game looks more like Dark Souls than Dark Souls itself. Everything is just perfect : sounds, animations, gaphics, environments, ennemies and gameplay. Flawless.
    Do you mind if I ask you whre you got those assets (models, textures, sounds...) ? Anyway, keep up the good work, this is stunning !

    Assets are usually from marketplaces: unity store, turbosquid, cgtrader, sometimes unreal store

    - Blood decals when getting a hit
    - General combat improvements
    - Combat sounds rework
    - Slow motion while knocking down enemy
    - Finisher of stunned/knocked enemies

    Inspired by Stranger Things, ive went for an idea of creating alternative versions of the areas. Some sneak peak of the previous prison level in 'alternate' ruined/corrupted form.

    I dont know this tool but Ill take a look at it, thanks. For this sequence Ive got professional voice actor from voicebunny.com but... its quite expensive this way :(

    I have female NPCs in game so at some point Ill need voicing for them. But Im not able to say when exactly this gonna happen as all dialogs must be 100% ready to start working on that. I'll let know when Ill be ready, and If You will be still up for this in a month or two we can try :)

    Thanks. Its a great model btw. There is not many such a cool knights.
    To give some lore - its Ashen Legion Soldier. In game we can "wake them up" by giving some of our life essence and we can fight them to get some cool loot. They are one of those 'champion/unique' monsters, If You played diablo 2.

    Thanks. Tbh I dont have any level design expierence and its the most difficult and time consuming part to do (for me at least), so areas are never as good as I would like them to be.

    Ive seen the knight btw, already downloaded it in case it will dissapear. Gonna use it for sure!

    this looks outta this world, man!!!!!! I just started working on something similar and was struggling to decide between unity (the one i know and love) and unreal (the unknown beast i'd try to tame) to make my ARPG. And man... seeing you making this inspires the hell outta me to stay on unity :)

    Conceptually very simple: list of actions with conditions (distances, angles, cooldowns or others like health percentage ect) If none can be used then it can fall back into some defaults like strafing for example.

    Most of the time sticks to 60+fps in editor.
