    Since beginning of 2018 ive started working on my first solo game project and as I have some mechanics and content in place ive decided to share it here. Im hoping that feedback ill receive here will be usefull and thanks in advance :)

    All 'underhood' stuff like combat/AI/movement/equipments/spells ect ect are crafted from scratch by myself. Models/audio/animations marketplaces or custom made by artists.
    Ill be posting updates at least once a week.

    This looks like a very strong debut. I thought most people made Asteroids for their first project.
    I especially like the way the camera follows the Guardian of the Tomb in the first video when he does his high jump. The player can react to the animation -- very fair.

    Where and how did you learn your impressive solo game making skills?

    Wow, this is very impressive for being in the early stages of this project. In the first video, that boss was terrifying! All the elements – the music, graphics, effects, etc. go really well together.

    Another test fight against stronger bosslike enemy. I love designing those, great fun :)

    @msamociuk88 to be honest, I find it hard to believe you don't have prior game dev experience.
    From the little you showed us it looks like it was created by someone who has many game dev years under his belt :)

    anyhow, whatever it is, the game looks awesome. keep up the good work.

    one suggestion - it needs more work to get the lighting right. the game is way too dark. You can use different light effects to create a feel of a creepy dark area. otherwise, it is hard to see

    Well Ive played a lot and have some certain vision. Just trying to stick to that vision :)

    Regarding light, rendering software breaks the lightining a lot (makes it darker somehow) :|
    But ill take it into consideration to make it brighter.

    Minor combat enhancements:
    - Ability to parry and follow with fatality move
    - Shield bash move
    - Sprint run mode

    reminds me a lot of BloodBorne. Like aLOT. great job though. im jealous of your melee setup. very fluid. great game. i like the darkness

    Thanks, even comparing to bloodborne is a compliment ;]
    Melee setup took like a 2 months of solid work and still far away from ready state. Really long process of bugfixing and tuning little things here and there, timings, delays, possible transitions ect

    Slowly working on abilities/talents system. Pretty hard to desing it and keep in balance...
    Planning to have 3 modes with separate abilities and traits, melee fighting, spellcasting and sustain mode where player will be able to heal and survive.
    Below one of abilities from spellcasting mode.

    Hey man, looks great. I like the use of lighting, music, sounds and visuals, really makes you feel like your hitting something.

    I thought I was pretty familiar with every character controller out there.

    Is this based off of "Sharp Accents" work?

    It won't be too hard to determine once you release a demo.

    Anyway, looks great, I hope I can pull off something similar.

    Im not sure what Sharp Accent is. Ive made controller and everything 'underhood' on my own from scratch. It took quite long tho x_x

    Oh alright, cool man, good work!

    I just say that because there are a lot of coincidences.

    For example, the way the character walks with the sword, the right-hand mask used to keep it from going wonky is almost a dead ringer to the way they do it in their controller.

    It's hard to tell from the video.

    You should make a tutorial series and teach us lol.

    I didnt see those tutorials but maybe we using same animation set? (kubold mocaps from store) Reason why it may feel similar?
    However, regarding making tutorials - maybe Ill do series of tutorials after finishing the project, we will see :)

    Im sure You will, matter of time :)

    I would say - Dark Souls 0.25 but thank You ^^

    There is a couple of things to fix - like fire which is poor quality at the moment. But general sad mood is there, i hope :)

    Been working on some extra secrets fun what ended up in concept of 'Relicts'
    Sets of ancient items hidden in every map - after completing whole set for map - we will receive a reward.

    was this made with Invector? AMAZING Job I love your AI plus your particle effect with the attack keep doing your thing your making me glad I never gave up on indie game design :)

    I think i was starting with free invector version at very very start, but after like 10 months of development it ended up as making complete own controller anyway.

    Added stunbars mechanics into game.
    Constant pressure(attacks) on the enemy can cause stun.

    character control looks very smooth, what animation pack are u using?
    also,i think some blue-ish fog or a bit of ambient light wouldnt hurt in your scenes.
