    ARMECHGEDDON

ARMECHGEDDON is a furious bullet hell, with edge-of-your-seat action and intense local co-op gameplay. Pilot your experimental military hardware across five engaging campaigns, each with unique enemy and boss encounters. ARMECHGEDDON takes our favorite SHMUP elements and fuses them with modern influences.
    FEATURES
    • Responsive, twitch based controls paired with fast, smooth gameplay.
    • Cleverly designed boss encounters, each with unique movement and attack patterns.
    • Devastating weapon drops and power-ups make your mech the ultimate war machine.
    • Procedurally generated battlefields, spanning five environment types.
    • Dynamic encounters make each session different from the last.
    • Play with one or two players, gameplay will adjust accordingly.
    • Bonus Survival Mode - Battle to be the last man standing, compete for high scores.
    • Support for a wide array of game controllers, as well as keyboard + controller combo’s for co-op.
...and stay tuned! I will be posting new progress here as it develops.
We welcome comments/suggestions/feedback of all sorts. Thanks for looking!

I played this at OGDE(I was one of the guys with two others who kept playing 10 times). Was awesome!

Hey thanks carking1996! The demo I posted is actually a refinement of what you played at OGDE, give it a shot now and let us know what you think!

Well, here's an early Greenlight update. We've made it pretty far, and got a whole lot of "Yes" votes before getting buried under all the newer game submissions. It seems that if you don't get the green light in the first few days while your visibility is high, it's really hard to gain votes.

We've had a good bit of traction on twitter, and even some of our youtube friends played the demo. Now that we aren't on the front page though, we've really slowed down. We will be posting some progress screenshots of some new enemy variations soon. Thanks to all who have voted thus far!

Very cool concept. Looks like a mobile version of twisted metal. Great.

Great models, I know something like that takes a lot of time or help. My favorite has to be the heli. So clean, they look like clay.

Hi and welcome to the works in progress -forum.

I like really like your simplistic artstyle and weapon effects. I played your early alpha version and based on that, your Greenlight page and the content you have posted here, I'd like to give you the following actual feedback, not just the normal "looks rad":

I tried for an hour to think a way to say this more nicely, but reality hurts so here we go: I think you game is more a mobile game than a PC game, and thus you would fare better on Android, iOS or even Windows Phone (which seriously lacks quality games that are not terrible ripoffs, as an ex-Nokia employee and WP game dev). As a gamer I would not buy this from Steam just because of the fact that it looks like a mobile game, works like a mobile game and feels like a mobile game. It doesn't offer enough content, it's really casual, and even though playing with two players is a ton of fun for the first few times there doesn't seem to be anything that would motivate me to buy it or even download it if were free, since shooting stuff with a few powerups is all I have seen so far.

Also the alpha version lagged on my desktop, should not be possible with my AMD FX processor and GTX 770. But it's an alpha version, so you might've optimized it a bit.

As I said earlier, I'm not bashing your progress and achievements: making a game as polished as this is not an easy or short task. But I can not simply agree fith your decision to put this on Steam in it's current state.

Thanks for sharing jaakaappi, that's a fair opinion given the prototype. We also feel we hit Steam too early, though we did earn our green light. We're confident in what we are building up to, and don't intend to change course.
