unity often removes their old assets.. (for no good reason IMO)

can access it only if you had previously purchased it. (even if it was free), try logging in asset store and search your assets (with [x] show deprecated option enabled).

Alternatively, I am aware of at least one public github repo that has it uploaded in its entirety -- but as this is most likely against the policies of Unity, I am not going to link it here.

That repo isn't official and I would treat the contents there as unsafe. Having it publicly available is also against the wishes of the IP holder of the asset (Unity in this case), which is why I didn't post it.

 

Remember that even if you find a place to download it on the internet, that still does not grant you a software license, so you'd be pirating the software.

 

Exactly. If the OP needS the asset for any project that they plan to release, they must get approval from the asset developer via being granted a license.

Is the asset also not appearing in your asset library ?

Depreciated assets are still available to download in the last version inside Unity, at least if there was no foul play in them and cant legally host them anymore.

It is not legal to use anything that is not under a permissive license, so best to first check inside Unity to see if can download from there.

If the link you have gives you a permissive license though, like Apache 2.0 or MIT, sure can use it for anything.

Just get in contact with NatureManufacture - who made this asset - and ask them. That way, it's going to be perfectly legal and you'll be on the safe side.
