As much as I would like to, there just isn't enough time for me to get my game finished by then. The prizes are amazing though!

I really need that Unity Pro license as right now game development is just a hobby (considering I'm still in school and all). Of course though I'll still reach for the top.

The issue is getting a game done in a month D:

Actually, scrap that thought. You have to be 18 years or older to have a Windows developer account.

I'd love to. But in that time frame, I'd need at least one other person to make a decently polished game.

It's odd that they are offering so much money but only giving us two months to develop a game.

And the submission process adds a further constraint.

Still, I'm going to try to get a game up.

So people can't just put up a game they previously developed?

If it's not been published on the Microsoft Store(s) before, then port it and submit it.

    What an opportunity.

I think I should be able to push the 1st Chapter of Warfront Defenders to the stores. I was already planning on publishing it first on Win Phone and Stores anyway. Still a lot to do though.

    Work work work !

There's an FAQ at the bottom of the contest announcement page. It says you can submit up to 10 unique games.

@Graham Dunnett, The FAQ says we can't have third party advertising. I'm not sure what is meant by "third party".

Can we use Microsoft Ads or Unity Ads?

Can we advertise one of our other games?

What does the following line from the contest rules mean?

"did not purchase any products, services or equipment for the purposes of entering this Contest, and"

Does this mean that a game that uses assets purchased from the asset store or anywhere else (legally) cannot be submitted for the contest?

Great question, Rajmahal. I noticed that when I read the contest page and forgot to ask about it.

It just occurred to me that this isn't the official support thread for this contest.

    The official thread is here.

I've reposted my question there and Rajmahal's as well.

I was going to do this if Unity 4.6 and uGUI was available but I just don't feel like wrestling with ngui or df right now as it feels like wasted time.

LOL. There is no way Unity 4.6 will be ready in the time frame allowed for this game contest.

I found somewhere that you need to be 18 in order to get a Windows developer account, which you need for the contest. :(
What I would suggest (this is what I hope to do) is start working on a game, and submit it if they do another contest next year. I don't know if it's officially annual or what, but they did one last year as well. This also gives you more time to create a quality game.

    Thanks, @randomperson
It means i have to wait at least 1.3 years .
Because i am not properly 17 at this time .
But anyways making a game is also a very big prize .
If you will participate then good luck .
    :)
