Using Unity 5.x - I'm working on a project and the shadows show fine in the Editor and the Game window, but when I do a build for Windows (either 8.1 or Universal), there are no shadows showing up when I build/run the app.

Anybody have any ideas? The camera is set to deferred rendering path due to other problems I had with shadows in the editor (imported assets from the store were not receiving spot light shadows but everything else did). The player settings for Windows/Windows Phone do not have a Rendering Path. Quality settings have shadows turned on.

There WERE shadows in a prior build. Other than adding to my scene, I haven't changed anything, but now the shadows are gone.

    Very frustrating...

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

I don't know why it came and went, but it turned out to be the Quality settings - it wasn't clear to me that it was using the wrong setting. Bumping that up fixed it though.
