Video (Windows 10) WebCamTexture can't select MJPG format, it takes the first entry (5fps YUY2)

I'm using a Logitech C920 webcam. This webcam provides different resolutions and formats.

I want to use 1920x1080 30fps.

The camera provides two of these full HD modes
1920x1080 5fps YUY2
1920x1080 30fps MJPG

When creating a WebCamtexture and specify the 30fps. I still get the 5fps YUY2 version

This problem does not exist on all computers, it looks like it could have something to do with a Microsoft Windows 10 update. Perhaps this one https://www.theverge.com/2016/8/19/12562780/microsoft-windows-10-anniversary-update-webcam-freezing

Any ideas how to fix?

 

Hi there, I'm fighting exactly the same issue. Did you find a solution?

 

We've struggled with this in the past, the only solution I've ever found is to use an asset from the Asset Store that gives you more control over how to access the camera. We use AVPro Live Camera (https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/video/avpro-live-camera-3683). There might be another solution but that's the only one I've gotten to work.
