Window Layouts disappeared from Shortcuts Manager.

Today I was setting up keyboard shortcuts to switch between Window Layouts, and on closing and re-opening Unity, the entire "Main Menu/Window/Layouts" subcategory disappeared from the Shortcuts Manager, as well as the shortcuts I had set there. The bug seems to be both project and version agnostic; I can create a new project in 2019.3 or 2019.2 and can't find that subcategory in the Shortcuts manager. Anyone else experience something like this? Any idea where I could start troubleshooting?

 

Just thought I would respond since I just ran into this (on 2021.3.1f1) and I had to add a new layout, switched between my current one and the new one and back, and then the items appeared under "Main Menu/Window/Layouts" again where there were previously none.

 

I've encountered same issue in 2021.3.1f1 as well. In Unity 2021.1 it was working correctly.
Workarounds so far (works until you restart Unity):

• Save a layout manually. After that shortcuts gets loaded by Unity and works as usual. Quite annoying.
• Call CompilationPipeline.RequestScriptCompilation() using MenuItem shortcut. The whole project will recompile, in my case it takes 1-2 seconds. Can be executed once on startup.

Probably it's possible to workaround it in more elegant and efficient way using Reflection on WindowLayout (example). But I couldn't find the correct method or combination of methods to fix the problem

 

2021.3.14f also has this problem, this trick helped. Although I hope to find a way to avoid it from appearing.
