Window flashes briefly on startup in fullscreen

    Hey there.

    I have a little "problem". Whenever I start my game in "default is fullscreen" and "use native resolution", the blank game window flashes briefly, before the screen goes black to fade in to the custom splash. The camera in my first scene is set to "solid color" and this color is set to black. It then uses GUI.drawtexture to do a fade-in, but this is not the culprit. I have narrowed this down to be a Unity issue, since it also happens on a completely empty project, with no code whatsoever. I was even fast enough to make a screenshot, which is attached to this post.

    Now, this is not a showstopper, but it's quite annoying and looks unprofessional. My question: Does anyone know of a workaround and/or trick to avoid this behavior?

    Some more info: It happens both on Win 8 and Win 7 just the same. Tried it out in Unity versions 4.5.2 and 4.5.3.
