Look up the minimum system requirements of Unity and compare them to laptop specs.

Lies. Frequent screen/GPU issues, horrid bloatware, borderline unethical bundles and more corners cut for each new model released. I try to stay away, but I'm sometimes responsible for preparing the damn things for customers. It's like a zombie movie - they always come back, rotting, stinky, braindead.

Cheap costs more. Go with the Asus.

If you don't mind spending a bit more you can get the ASUS Q551. Same amount of memory but a better CPU (Core i7), better GPU (GeForce 840M), a bigger drive (1TB), and a higher resolution (1920 by 1080). It's ~$200 more refurb.

The caveat is that it comes bigger and heavier than the Q302.

You have to be choosy with every brand.

I run Unity just fine on a 4+ year-old Lenovo, and it wasn't even state-of-the-art back when I got it. (no GPU, just integrated Intel graphics) For basic development, most modern standard laptops should work just fine.

That's a good laptop, can't afford it though. Hopefully with some of the games I make on Unity on that computer I'll scrap up a thousand bucks for a better one.
