    Hello,

I have been developing ios apps in the past using Adobe Flash Pro and Flash Builder, but now I have been learning Unity since it seems a 100x more streamlined and enjoyable environment from a design perspective.

However one area where adobe seems much better is you can directly output a debug or release app straight from FB. You can even just plug in the ipad, and test and profile with scout through itunes. (without having to buy a mac, or install xcode)

Is Unity likely to have direct building in the future?

I doubt it. Why would apple ever allow you to build apps without using an apple product. Makes sense for them to force you to buy their hardware.

You can already do that as noted above. However having the XCode project is too useful to make direct building all that interesting.

Suggest buying a mac mini, maybe off ebay, for your iOS dev. Then if/when you are finished with it... sell it right back to ebay again to recoup costs.
