Why weren't we consulted about the hiearchy changes in in Unity 4.5?

    I just want to turn off the transform sorting. Alphabetic makes more sense for my project. What is the reasoning behind the transform sorting. That doesn't really lend itself to any sensible thing for me. Which comes first -x or -y or -z or a combination of what is the most negative? It's so unintuitive.

    "We" were consulted, by virtue of the alpha/beta testers who provided feedback. It's not a democracy where we vote on every feature (that would be a great way to get nothing done). This subject is already covered a number of times in topics such as this, so I don't think we need more.
