Why was my objective question rejected?

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to put this, but I found a similar question asked here, so I'll post this here. Feel free to move it if it doesn't fit here.

On this page, I asked a question regarding how to implement a component with a similar system to the GUI's 'EventTrigger' that I could use for object interaction, so that I could call a specific method on a specific component when a button is pressed, and could specify the method and component in the editor without having to change any code, similar to the EventTrigger.

Although this question was objective, it was rejected by the Unity Answers Moderators, and I can't understand why.

The only thing I could think of is because someone said 'It's not easy to suggest anything without being able to see your code', but my code is irrelevant to this question, as my question was not regarding any specific problems with code, but asking how to implement something.

Answers is for specific technical questions, which is why the moderator asked you to include code. If you have an objective, non-technical question, the forum is the right place.

My question was a specific technical question, as I was asking about how to use the system from EventTrigger in one of my own components.

Well, I don't agree. Just post a more detailed question.

My question was already answered. Seeing as the answer to my question was specifically the 'UnityEvent' type, I don't see how it could be considered a subjective question, but thanks anyways.
