Why unityhub not showing other Template Files

    Am juts insatalled unity hub latest version but unity hub not showing some other template

    Thank you for checking in. This depends on the version you are using as different Editor versions have different templates available. Can you kindly share which version of the editor are you now using?

    Hello, I had the same issue here.

    Project templates being tied to a specific Unity editor version; make sure the project version you are trying to create matches the editor version you copied the project template into.

    mine says i need 2020 LTS or later, but I have 2022 LTS. Unless covid came with a time warp, i'm pretty sure 2022 is after 2020

    Can confirm this 'bug'.
    Editor version: 2021.3.26f1 LTS will correctly show the learning templates
    Editor version: 2022.3.1f1 LTS will not show the learning templates

    Error message:
    Sorry, this Editor version does not support learning templates. Please choose another Editor version or template.
    To access all templates, choose version 2020 LTS or later.

    Tested using:
    Unity Hub 3.4.2
    Unity Hub 3.5.0-beta.1

    Hi,
    I can confirm the same issue/bug 'paultrott' describes. I'm running UnityHub 3.4.2 and it's so frustrating since where I live in Africa, installing another Unity Editor takes about 8 hours.

    As shown, there is nothing in 'Learning', and I get the same notification: "Sorry, this Editor version does not support learning templates. Please choose another Editor version or template."

    I'm told, I should choose 2020 LTS or later, but this is the latest version, installed yesterday!

    For now, I'm just going to copy ver 2020.3.15f2, from my previous UnityHub installation(located under %:\Progra~1\Unity\Hub\Editor) and see how that goes...
    Hopefully, someone else finds this tip helpful.

    That'll take ages, cause it's from SATA to SATA-SSD..
    I will report...


    EDIT: Okay, fix for those who already have another UnityHub install with an early Editor somewhere else, and don't want to install another via UnityHub for some reason:
    I copied ver. 2020.3.15f2 as per my post above; started UnityHub and it wasn't available in the list of installed Editors, under "Installs".
    I then clicked on 'Locate', navigated to where I copied it to, which is: "C:\Progra~1\Unity\Hub\Editor\2020.3.15f2\Editor", and chose the "Unity.exe" binary.
    It was now installed and available under the "Installs" section. I then clicked on "Projects->New Project->Learning" and I could install those. (Be sure to choose the desired Editor version at the top, in "Projects->New Project")

    I've been using it for a while - on an off. Never had an issue. This is the first bug I've encountered, but I guess it's because this is the latest version. That's usually the main concern with new versions of any software.
    Just download a previous Editor version and it should be fixed.

    Apart from this issue, this software has been really stable for me. I never even had a crash.

    I tried latest versions: 2022.3.3f1, 2023.1.0f1, 2022.3.1f1, all show "Sorry, ...

    Yes, the very simple solution to this is to install Editor version 2020.3.48f1 LTS. This can be done from the Unity Hub, Installs tab, select Install Editor and you should see it listed as available official releases. Select that editor when you create a new project and the sample projects will show under learning. the 2021 and 2022 LTS versions don't support those projects. They really need to update their tutorials to explicitly say this, it's rather frustrating as I uninstalled my Unity first before trying the other versions of the editor...

    Trying to use the Mobile Runner Game Template. Installed 2023.1.4f1, 2022.3.5f1, 2021.3.28f1 and 2020.3.48f1 but none of these have the template available. What version should i use then?

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, the Learning templates are not available for the latest LTS (you can find more details on this here).
    To access the Learning templates you would need to use 2021.3 LTS or get them on the Asset Store (they're free). You may just need to upgrade some materials or packages, depending on the Editor version you are using.

    Hello,

    The Runner Game template is only available for the 2021.3 LTS versions, it should be located under the "New" section.
